The clamps and all components of the rotary mechanism in the MadEdge system are constructed from high-strength steel rather than aluminum or bronze. To ensure exceptional durability, all rubbing surfaces are hardened to 740 HV. A distinctive feature of the MadEdge system is the integration of spherical nuts within the clamps to compensate for screw misalignment when securing thin blades. Furthermore, it is the only system that allows for the adjustment of the turning mechanism to compensate for long-term wear. The sliding assembly's hinge features a pressed-in anti-friction bronze bushing, providing superior smoothness for the stone's movement. The stone holder is equipped with a premium handle crafted from stained oak. The system's technical specifications enable a minimum sharpening angle of 12 degrees per side.
