How to Use Your MadEdge Sharpening System
Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Setup
Place the sharpener on a stable surface. Secure a clean, dry knife on the holder at the desired angle.

2. Coarse Sharpening
Start with the coarsest stone. Move the stone with light pressure back and forth along the entire cutting edge until a burr forms on the opposite side.

3. Second Side
Flip the knife and repeat the process until a burr forms on this side of the blade.

4. Final Honing
Progressively switch to finer grit stones, reducing the number of strokes to polish the edge.

5. Deburring
Secure the finest stone, maintain the angle. Move the knife only in the direction of the spine (backward from the cutting edge) using minimal pressure, alternating sides (1-2 light passes each side) until the burr is removed.
Pro Tip: To achieve maximum sharpness, regularly check the edge for sharpness and evenness. For very thin blades or filleting, use slightly less pressure during the finishing stages.
